Child in my heart, come out,
Come out, wherever you are.
Bring back my dreams so
I may wish upon the star.
The star of long ago...
Life was shiny and new.
All I needed then...
Love to see me through.
That was before...
Jack came tumbling down,
When I was a princess
With a golden crown.
That was before...
Humpty Dumpty had his big fall.
I was so smart...
Thought for sure I knew it all.
I've learned not to kiss a frog,
And step on a crack.
I've learned to live for today,
And not look back....
